Воведение на Пресвета Богородица во храмот е празник кој претставува и почеток на исполнување на времето за раѓањето на ветениот Месија Спасителот наш Господ Исус Христос. Пресвета Богородица со нејзиниот овоземен живот се удостоила да го роди Спасителот на светот. Како што доаѓа гревот во светот преку (жена) Ева, така доаѓа и Спасителот на светот преку (жена) Пресвета Богородица. Единствено Таа од човековиот род дала позитивен одговор пред Бога, а се удостоила да биде Богородица и како таква заслужува должна почит од целиот род човечки.
